As we kick off a new month, we're excited to share some great updates and achievements that set the stage for a month filled with music, learning, and growth.
1. Celebrating a Milestone: 90 Students Enrolled!
We are thrilled to announce that our school has reached a new milestone—90 students! This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff, teachers, and the supportive community we are proud to be a part of. Each student brings unique talents and enthusiasm, contributing to the vibrant and dynamic environment of our school. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Here's to continued growth and success!
2. Welcome Our New Teachers!
We are excited to introduce our newest additions to the teaching team! Join us in welcoming Ms. Calzada, who brings her expertise in voice, guitar, piano, and ukulele. Mr. Jackson, a versatile instructor, will be teaching guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, and piano. Lastly, Ms. Peters, a skilled pianist, will be joining us to provide excellent piano instruction. Their expertise and enthusiasm are sure to inspire our students and enrich our programs. We are confident that they will make a positive impact and help our students achieve new heights in their musical endeavors.
3. Summer Water Safety Tips
With summer underway, it's important to stay safe while enjoying water activities.
Here are some essential water safety tips to keep in mind:
- Always supervise children: Never leave children unattended near water, whether it's a pool, lake, or ocean.
- Learn to swim: Enroll in swimming lessons to build confidence and skills in the water.
- Wear life jackets: Ensure that everyone wears a properly fitted life jacket when boating or participating in water sports.
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, especially on hot days.
- Know CPR: Learning CPR can save lives in case of an emergency.
Enjoy the summer and stay safe!
Spring Recital a Resounding Success!
Our annual Spring Recital on June 1st was a delightful event, showcasing the incredible talents of our students. From beautiful piano solos to stunning voice performances, the evening was filled with memorable acts that wowed the audience. Parents, friends, and community members gathered to support our students, making it a night to remember. We are proud of each student who participated and look forward to many more successful events in the future.
50 students played in three recitals presented at Fort Worth Youth Orchestra Hall.
Why Didn't I Hear About the Recital?
Recitals are prepared several months in advance. If you were enrolled on or after April 2024, you were not eligible to play in the recital. The next recital will be in the winter. Stay tuned in the fall for more information.
Musical Ladder System
Achievements
The Benbrook Music Academy is the only music school in Benbrook that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It has been awarded multiple patents and is being used by schools nationwide.
Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool "Musical Ladder System®" wristbands that they can show off to their friends.
Congratulations to the students who passed a Musical Ladder Test in the months of May and June
